The historic Duluth Masonic Temple built by the Masons of Duluth in 1904 has served for more than a century as a home for Masonic Lodges, the Scottish Rite, York Rite, Order of the Eastern Star and other Masonic organizations. In addition to being a fraternal meeting place the building has been a community asset as it was the location of the Scottish Rite’s Well Baby Clinic from 1918 to 1965 and as a place of refuge during the disastrous fires of 1918. Culturally, the Temple has been a place for concerts, lectures, opera and theatrical presentations. To this day the Temple continues to be a venue for many events both of a public and private nature. The Temple is a frequently sought after venue for weddings and other family gatherings. The Temple incorporates a library and museum and is open to the public for tours by appointment.
